Silly Mommy...

Maddie was dancing around the family room showing Daddy and Mommy her very best made up ballet moves this evening when she fell and hit her shoulder against the coffee table. There were many tears, big sobs, no major damage to her shoulder or the coffee table - In the past, when Maddie had banged into something that hurt, I would do the mommy pointy finger thingy and say "No, no thank you!" to the offending object to which Maddie would mimic and then feel better. Well, apparently no longer....After the hugs and cuddling this evening, as the crying was winding down, I got out my trusty Mommy pointy finger thingy and said...."No, no thank you, coffee table!" to which I heard in return from a sad voice..."Tables don't talk." "You're right honey, tables don't talk - Mommy is silly."

I know I have a lot of updating to do...May was quite busy with Family Reunion in Crisfield, Memorial Day weekend down the shore, new car purchased, new baby nephew born, swimming lessons are underway, and now we're well into June, soon to head out for the 4th of July weekend and the Changde Kids Reunion! Happily we did survive the heatwave due to AC and the new outdoor YMCA pool! I still need to download photos from our cameras...so the wait will continue for a LITTLE bit longer except for this one photo, of Chef Maddie - her current favorite dress up outfit (move over princess! WOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOO!)


I'm really interested in making sure I get down the memories...as mine is going!
