Once there were two women
Who never knew each other.
One you do not know.
The other you call mother....
Who never knew each other.

The other you call mother....
This is the first few lines from the book called Motherbridge of Love. It was written anonymously by an adoptive parent. I have a hard time reading through it without tears forming. The sentiment is one I hope we're able to instill in Madeline...
I love being Madeline's mom...her joy and excitement, her stubborn and ornery side, and constant refrain of "I think we maybe need to go to the playground" makes me so happy that my words do not do it justice. She wants to be a cowboy or a teacher when she grows up. When you ask her what a cowboy does, she says, they ride horses and say "Yahoo!" She loves playing with other kids, singing, dancing, and wants to "help" with everything. Motion is a constant in our house. And then recently, on a normal day driving Maddie to daycare on my way to work... We arrived and got out of the car and Maddie had her hand on her chest. I asked "What are you doing Maddie?" and she said "I'm listening to my heart." So I followed up, "what is it saying?" expecting something along the lines of "thump thump", but she replied, "It says I love you Mommy."

Oh, my goodness, where are the tissues? Little Miss Madeline, what a blessing you are to your dear mommy!
Hey,
I don't want to seem whiny or something, but I noticed in my blog stats that people are being referred here from your blog, and I wanted to see if you had mentioned me on your blog.
You did, on your blogroll... but you added a letter. It's "heping", not "heLping." It is not a typo :P It is the name of the street my original home was at.
Just wanted to clarify, and sorry for needlessly spamming your comments just to say that, but it was nagging at me!
