Maddie has her "shades" and is ready to rock in roll in her rainbow shirt, that coincidentally matches the rainbow construction paper we just purchased at Costco!
Maddie loves to swing, with a catch....she loves to swing while holding Daddy's hand, it makes her feel safe. Awwwww!!! (Shhh, Daddy loves it too!)
Maddie is pondering the mysteries of the Delaware River...This past weekend was amazing, bright sun, brilliant blue sky and highs in the 80s with no humidity. I guess this is what it's always like out in CA! Or that is what we hear over on the East Coast anyway... Of course, we also just had a Nor'easter hit the week before, crazy weather!
We had a good weekend, although I was tempted, strongly tempted, to make a run for the shore, Ron was much more adult that I, and we opted to stay at home and work on finishing cutting down that darn tree in the front yard. It has also re-enforced my already strong belief that the best way to take down a tree is to call someone and pay THEM to do it. This belief may have crept into Ron's subconsious as well this time!
While we worked on the tree, Maddie happily busied herself with her slide, fort and by "helping" pile the sticks for bundling. It wasn't all work, we did take a side trip to Battery Park again for some fun kid time for Maddie, who made a new friend, Monet, and ran amuck on the jungle gym sets. We took a little stroll along the water where Mommy and Daddy learned the joys of running up and then back down a hill, over, and over, and over.....and over.

The smart thing to do would have been to pay someone to cut down and haul away your tree while you were at the beach!
Next time...
