Maryland Renaissance Faire Fun!

This weekend we ventured back to 1543 in the Tudor village of Revel Grove at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. We could not have asked for a more picture perfect day. Cool breeze, blue sky...perfect!
Here we are a happy family all dressed up and ready to enjoy the day! Maddie loved her dress and has since worn it every day when we're home.

There was much feasting and festivities including music and dancing.

We even cheered on our Champions in the joust!

Maddie was concerned when one of our champions was struck with a lance.

But it all worked out in the end. Look Nana! A photo of Mommy!

Please don't ask me what she's doing here. It was the pose she would get into every time I wanted to take a picture. Apparently she thinks it's a princess pose.

Maddie's turn onstage with Mother Goose's sing-a-long. She was very excited to be up there.

We had a good time, we got away without doing any face painting (amazing!) and without going to the playground. She did want to climb the tower but she wasn't wearing the right clothes to do that. We focused on going to the kids shows as we wandered around and could easily be convinced to go back again as there was lots we didn't get to see. We'll just have to wait to see how things go. Weekends in the fall are always super busy!
